Sales Terms

1. Seller

2. What you buy

One thing only: public visibility on the Egorithm ranking, in the form of a position determined by the total amount you have paid, together with the public profile attached to it.

There are no prizes, rewards, winnings, returns on money, interest, dividends, chances to win, resale value, or benefits of any other kind. Your rank has no monetary value, cannot be sold, transferred, redeemed or withdrawn, and goes down when other people pay more. It is not a financial product, not a security, not a game of chance, and not an investment.

3. Price

The first entry starts at $1. Subsequent payments start at $5. Prices are shown on the site before payment and are charged in US dollars.

Where tax is due in your country, it is included in the price shown: the amount displayed is the amount charged.

Your bank may apply a currency conversion or foreign transaction fee, which is a matter between you and your bank.

4. Payment

Payment is handled by Stripe. Card details are provided directly to Stripe and never pass through our servers.

The order is formed when payment succeeds. You then receive a confirmation and your position is updated.

5. Delivery

Delivery is immediate and complete at the moment payment succeeds: your position is recalculated and published within seconds.

There is nothing left to deliver afterwards. A rank that later goes down because someone else paid more has still been delivered in full.

6. Right of withdrawal, and its waiver

EU and UK consumers normally have 14 days to withdraw from a distance purchase.

This service is digital content supplied immediately. By ticking the box at checkout, you expressly request immediate performance and acknowledge that you lose your right of withdrawal once performance is complete. Performance is complete as soon as your position is published, which is immediate.

This waiver is the reason the checkbox exists and is not optional. The version of the terms you accepted, together with the date and time, is recorded with your payment.

7. Refunds

Because the service is delivered immediately and in full, all sales are final and no refund is due.

We nonetheless refund, at our discretion and without this creating any entitlement: payments made by a minor, payments made without the card holder's authorisation, duplicate charges, and payments where a technical failure on our side meant the position was not applied.

To ask for a refund, write to us before opening a dispute with your bank. A refund requested directly is faster and cheaper for everyone than a chargeback.

8. Statutory guarantees

Consumers keep the benefit of the statutory guarantee of conformity and the guarantee against hidden defects provided by the applicable law. Nothing in these terms reduces those rights.

9. Moderation and money

If a profile is banned for breaching the Terms of Use, amounts already paid are not refunded. This is the consequence of a breach, not a penalty we invented: the visibility that was bought was delivered.

If we remove a public message but keep the profile, the payment stands: the message is an optional extra attached to a payment, not the thing being sold.

10. Disputes

These sales terms are governed by French law, without depriving a consumer of the mandatory protection of their country of residence.
